As an electrician by trade, he started working at the age of 14 and attended Northern Lights College for his technical training. Lucas has also been active within the conservative movement, successfully passing the Apprenticeship Tax Credit at the 2026 Conservative Party of Canada Convention with the Prince George - Peace River - Northern Rockies Conservative Association. As he looks forward to the upcoming 2026 Municipal Election, he continues to serve on a number of local boards, including the PGPRNR Conservative Association where he chairs the Youth and Communications Committee. Additionally, he is a proud member of the Fort St. John Rotary Club, where he supports community initiatives and local development, while also engaging with the City Council to foster growth in Fort St. John.
When housing gets delayed, rents and home prices go up for you and your family. I want to speed up permits and work directly with local builders, so more homes get built faster, putting downward pressure on costs.
You should feel safe in your neighbourhood, at home, and in public spaces. I will advocate for additional resources and support to ensure our police services have what they need to continue responding quickly and effectively while helping keep our community safe.
You rely on roads, water, sewer, and garbage disposal every single day, these services should be reliable. Basic services should come first—before expensive new projects. I will advocate for proper allocation of resources so that your can always depend on the City for these services.
Every tax dollar comes from you, and major spending decisions should prove real value before your taxes go up. The City should focus on living within its means and avoiding unnecessary spending so you aren’t hit with constant increases. On major projects you deserve a clear say because it’s your money being spent.
You shouldn’t have to wonder whether basic services will be reliable. The City’s job is to focus on roads, safety, and infrastructure while remaining transparent and engaging with the community. When City Hall stays focused, you get better service and full value out of your tax dollars.
